The man appeared kind and respectable, gaining the family’s trust. </p><p><br></p><p>Behind that image, he groomed and assaulted Jeremy.</p><p><br></p><p>The process was so subtle and calculated that, even as an adult, Jeremy cannot clearly remember how it began, only that the man became familiar, trusted, and normal in his life before abusing that trust.</p><p><br></p><p>Years later, after an attempted police prosecution, Jeremy discovered where the man lived.
