Black women are more likely to start our menopause up to two years earlier than their white counterparts. They're also half as likely to take HRT. As a patron of the mighty Menopause Mandate campaign Karen's fight and drive to get the M word out, and raise awareness for Black women who don't have the same voice in this area.
Karen tells her own story, from believing she was going to die, to feeling like she wanted to die, to finding her way back to herself.
