The 4-Part Blueprint for a Profitable Author Business
I share a “simple” blueprint for building a profitable author business based on Proverbs 24:3–5: through wisdom a house is built, by understanding it is established, and by knowledge its chambers are filled with precious and pleasant riches. I explain that building a business is like building a house—you must dig deep to lay a foundation before you can build upward—and I compare writing a book to building intellectual property. I define knowledge, understanding, and wisdom as the accumulation, assimilation, and application of truth (from my co-author Myron Golden), then unpack truth through the Hebrew “emet” (alef-mem-tav), the idea that removing God leaves “met” (death), and numeric patterns that connect truth to the number nine. I define wisdom via Greek “sophia” and “phronesis,” understanding as “sunesis,” and outline four knowledge levels (gnosis, ginosko, ido, epignosis), stressing experiential epignosis.
