As a child, Sharon suffered a bad fall from a horse, which cracked two vertebrae in her lower spine. As a result of this, as well as injuries from football and a car crash, Sharon has suffered from a significant spinal injury in the last few years. Before she turned 40, Sharon underwent major spinal surgery and had to learn how to walk again. Now, Sharon has challenged herself to climb the 5,895 metre high Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the new Sunflower Hospice, the first childrens hospice outside Dublin. </p>","author_name":"Midwest Radio"}
