Barry Moloney is 30 years old and was born with a rate genetic condition called Hippel-Lindau – a disease that causes tumours to grow throughout his body.  </p><p>In 2015 Barry’s mother Marie died from the disease after years of surgeries. Barry’s doctors believe that he is a suitable candidate for a drug called Belzutifan which has been approved by the European Medicines Agency for use in the EU but the drug is not available to patients in Ireland.</p><p>Without this drug Barry is likely to face a future of repeated surgeries as tumours continue to develop.  </p><p>Listen to Barry's story here. </p>","author_name":"Midwest Radio"}
