His primary research is related to stress, appraisal, and coping among athletes.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>He has published 3 books and more than 80 peer-reviewed journal articles. His research has brought him into contact with elite-level Rugby Union, Rugby League players, as well as golfers who have won majors, where he has “learned a great deal about what it takes to perform under pressure.”</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>He also posts terrific content on <a href=\"https://www.linkedin.com/in/professor-adam-nicholls-77453b20b/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">LinkedIn</a> which is where the Great Coach John Buchanan first brought Adam to my attention.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Much of our discussion today is based on his latest book: Psychology in Sports Coaching: Theory and Practice.
