The calming influence that some teachers have over unruly pupils in their charge can be quite spellbinding. Pupils who were moments earlier terrorising their previous teacher and marauding down a corridor ‘coming down’ almost instantly as they emerge from the regime of one teacher and enter that of another. How do some teachers get it so right and others get it so wrong???
