We discuss the experience of having not only a movie about your lives come to fruition but a book as well, their dreams of each having solo albums like Kiss when the band first started, the incredible story of Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon trying to get the band to play worse when they offered to record them, their jaw-dropping first UK tour and Lunachick-mania, Ilya befriending the band early on and witnessing their very first show, going to the high school that Fame was based on, Ilya's filmmaking background, how The Lunachicks reaction to the 80s was essential to the band forming, having to travel in packs in 80s NYC, Theo & Gina's pus-filled artwork and translating that to a live look, Alice Cooper, GWAR, their hour long XXX VHS tape, how the film took over 10 years to make, their Nowhere Fast short film inspired by their love of John Waters, L7, their song Insomnia, the band having to navigate being told that a club already had booked enough female bands that month, gaining the trust of the band to make the film & more!
