The Mariners season came to an abrupt end in the cruellest of fashions on Friday night when a 117th minute extra-time winner for Salford saw them dumped out of the League Two play-off’s 4-3 on aggregate. Chris and the panel begin by dissecting both games, pin point key moments that helped decide the tie and debate whether David Artell’s decision to drop top goal-scorer Jaze Kabia to the bench for the second leg was the right one.
In Part Two the guys take a look back at what will be remembered, once the dust settles, as Town’s most successful league campaign for two decades and the marked improvements from last season. They pick out some of the most defining and memorable moments from the last nine months and then look ahead to the imminent retained list announcement and our chances of success next season.
