I want to explore the roots of my own hobby by revisiting my first imaginary game-world. Through dreams and many hours of day-dreaming as a teenager, I uncovered a rich fantasy realm that I am long-overdue returning to visit. Despite a few attempts to bring other tools to the table, games that I deeply enjoy and seek to explore, the reality is that the first game I stole from my Dad - RuneQuest and the even simpler Basic Roleplaying Introductory booklet - have become the key to unlocking that “specially made game-world” that exists just for me. And I have begun as all good games begin… with some characters, a situation, and a simple first session.</p><p><br></p><p>Thanks to Jon from Tale of the Manticore and Simon from Legend of the Bones for their inspiration.</p><p><br></p><p>Thanks also to Tabletop Audio for the additional music and ambient sounds:</p><p><a href=\"https://tabletopaudio.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Tabletop Audio - Ambiences and Music for Tabletop Role Playing Games</a></p><p>OR</p><p>https://tabletopaudio.com/</p><p><br></p><p>Game on!</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Roleplay Rescue Details:</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Voice Message:</strong></p><p><a href=\"https://www.speakpipe.com/roleplayrescue\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>speakpipe.com/roleplayrescue</strong></a></p><p><br></p><p>Patreon:</p><p><a href=\"https://www.patreon.com/rpgrescue\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">patreon.com/rpgrescue&nbsp;</a></p><p><br></p><p>Email:</p><p><a href=\"http://mailto:hello@rpgrescue.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">hello@rpgrescue.com</a></p><p><br></p><p>Blog:</p><p><a href=\"https://roleplayrescue.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">roleplayrescue.com&nbsp;</a></p><p><br></p><p>Mastodon:</p><p>@<a href=\"mailto:UbiquitousRat@ttrpg-hangout.social\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">UbiquitousRat@ttrpg-hangout.social</a></p><p><br></p><p>Roleplay Rescue Theme by Jon Cohen from Tale of the Manticore:</p><p><a href=\"https://taleofthemanticore.podbean.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">https://taleofthemanticore.podbean.com/</a></p>","author_name":"Che Webster"}
