Memorial Day is often seen as the unofficial start of summer. But the true meaning of Memorial Day is something very different. I want to talk about it – as I consider PATRIOTISM a “foundational value” which is a cornerstone of my podcast. It is a “timeless truth” that we all should know and understand. It is the day to honor our fallen soldiers – who gave their lives for our freedom. For veterans, it's a chance to honor those who are no longer here. We can never repay them for laying down their lives for us – but we can remember them this day.
