New episode of Wallop Wrecords is up and this one’s a bit of a contrast…
We’re putting Jet’s Get Born up against First Aid Kit’s Stay Gold.
On one side, Get Born is all swagger—loud guitars, big hooks, and that early 2000s rock attitude that either still rips or feels like a time capsule depending on who you ask.
On the other, Stay Gold is smooth, layered, and full of those haunting harmonies First Aid Kit does so well. It’s the kind of album that sneaks up on you the more you sit with it.
Two totally different records, but that’s kind of the fun of it.
