Happy New Year! Ringing in 2024 with a hot Aperol Punch (of which Mother found necessary to wash down with a vodka…). A little recap of Mother and Daughter’s ‘Friendsmas’ in Sevilla; a very international affair featuring food from around the world and some Santa Bingo. The movie of the 2023 festive season, Saltburn, was discussed and concluded that it is certainly not for the faint hearted. A listener question opens up the topic of the burden of mother-in-laws… however Mother aggressively takes the M-I-L side (of course) whilst Daughter offers some more sound advice. An unfortunate car break-down leads to two miraculous police officers rescuing two damsels in distress (one damsel sports a black velvet opera jacket for such rescue and royal escorting back to the hotel). Finally, ‘Mother Reacts’ to tattoos as wedding favours and reflects fondly of the time she demanded Daughter’s ex-boyfriend to get laser tattoo removal.
