Saved from ruin, the site was transferred to the community a few years ago, who now run it themselves, successfully.  It has a thriving cafe, football pitches, a green trail, an athletics track and a community library.  A handful of dedicated volunteers have turned it from a declining facility, into a thriving hub....the job is not done...but the journey so far has been a whirlwind...in this first episode, I talk to the Chair of the Community Benefit Society Collin and one of his fellow Directors, Chris, who is also a Run Director for Junior Park Run, a vital piece in the jigsaw.</p>","author_name":"Jon Rolls"}
