The USA Eagles have some serious questions to answer, and after a devastating 61-12 defeat to Australia XV, Austin and Dietrich aren't holding back. On this episode of the A&D Podcast, the guys break down an absolutely horrendous performance that has left both hosts frustrated, confused, and questioning the direction of the Eagles program.
Coming off the optimism of the Nations Championship, this performance feels like a massive step backward. From critical errors at crucial moments to questionable player selections and coaching decisions, Austin and Dietrich examine the moments that exposed the USA's biggest weaknesses and ask the questions that fans deserve answers to.
Is this just one disastrous performance, or are the USA Eagles falling back into the same bad habits that have plagued this program for years? Does Scott Lawrence need to make major changes to his lineup, or is the current system capable of working with a few adjustments? And perhaps the biggest question: Does this coaching staff actually have a Plan B when things aren't working?
The guys aren't just breaking down a 61-12 loss. They're questioning the future direction of USA Rugby as the road to the 2027 Rugby World Cup continues.
We want to hear from you: Is Scott Lawrence still the right man to lead the USA Eagles, or has the time come for a serious change? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
