Not the least because the amount of money required to create systemic change (i.e. being a billionaire) seems to make one uninterested in systemic change... I wonder why? </p><p>p.s. the real answer is community organizing: power and strength in numbers! </p><p><br></p><p>The main problem with this idea is that if you try to massively redistribute wealth, at least in the USA the government will come down hard on you. </p><p>For example, I once read that the <a href=\"https://nmaahc.si.edu/explore/stories/black-panther-party-challenging-police-and-promoting-social-change\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Black Panthers</a> were much more heavily targeted by the US government after they started providing large numbers of free meals to Black children. (p.s. the link there is to a generally good source, but I can't remember the book I read the actual idea in, unfortunately)</p><p><br></p><p>This is also NOT an admonition not to become financially stable! I want more financial stability for all of us... but that doesn't require buying into shitty ideas.</p><p><br></p><p>If you like the Mini episode format or have a topic idea, <a href=\"https://www.audhdflourishing.com/contact\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">please say so here</a>!</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Mentioned in Episode: </strong></p><ol><li><a href=\"https://shows.acast.com/audhd/episodes/64d649f58f0a1d0011a9981e\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Episode 10: Money &amp; Surviving Capitalism</a></li><li><a href=\"https://shows.acast.com/audhd/episodes/6532af5830f8d60012b91a7f\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Episode 20: Poverty is Not Your Fault!</a></li><li>Sam Pollack's Substack post \"<a href=\"https://copsoapbox.substack.com/p/its-time-to-have-a-different-conversation\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Conventional Marketing Ain't Workin' Anymore</a>,\" and <a href=\"https://www.audhdflourishing.com/post/audhd-and-online-marketing\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">my take on it</a></li><li>My <a href=\"https://www.audhdflourishing.com/post/audhd-financial-literacy\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Book recommendation for Get Good With Money</a> by Tiffany Aliche, and the <a href=\"https://getgoodwithmoney.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">direct link to the book</a></li><li><a href=\"https://www.audhdflourishing.com/post/trauma-cptsd-underearning\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">How Trauma &amp; CPTSD Cause Underearning</a></li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong>Resources:</strong></p><ol><li><a href=\"https://www.patreon.com/mattia/about\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Like Your Brain</a>&nbsp;community space</li><li><a href=\"http://audhdflourishing.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">AuDHDFlourishing.com</a></li><li><a href=\"https://docs.google.com/document/d/1af--Bdjiwe_3nSMNnvgBRRsj5WT8DmJ_SX0VzPd9_PU/edit?usp=sharing\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Transcript Doc</a></li><li><a href=\"https://mattia.ck.page/a6b7c9bf09\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Email Newsletter</a></li></ol>","author_name":"Mattia Maurée"}
