On Reigate Hill is a memorial dedicated to US airmen who were killed when their plane crashed into the hill on the evening of Monday 19 March 1945. For the next few weeks, leading up to the 79th anniversary, we’ll cover the story, the mission the crew was on, and more about what happened on their journey home. Our expert guest is Tadworth-based military historian Tim Richardson, who we spoke with at that site on top of the Hill.
