He gained significant experience in counterintelligence, mainly in operating against Soviet/ Russian intelligence. He is a Research Fellow at the National Security Studies Center (NSSC), the University of Haifa, and publishes intensively on intelligence failures both by Israel's intelligence and by foreign intelligence agencies and lessons to be taken out of these events.
