Hello it's been a while!
Took a break as per launching @aeon.inst (ig), an institute for ancient wisdom for modern minds.
Swung by here to leave an episode that is very ripe for the picking:
How to discern what you're receiving is a projection, a desire, a legit thing, a spirit, your own anxiety? etc. etc.
We cover a few main points:
(1) Truth is a muscle, is a configuration is something you grow an appetite for especially if fantasies saved you before, once upon a time.
(2) We project our ideals and dreams, naturally, but this also takes it's own toll. Discerning the energy and the weight of what we put outsides of ourselves. We will always project anyhow, but parking that for long enough to consider open questions or clear seeing.
(3) What we are contrasted by, natural Foils highlight who we are and what we're about. The capacity to hold and consider our natural contrasting poles allows us to widen our spectrum of receiving and consideration.
Inevitably to discern spirit is proportional to discerning ourselves, and the developed capacity to call out our own bullshite.
This won't only help you identify a thought pattern vs a genuine guide, but also just lies that live within your own system -- with the guiding compass of a deep Truth.
