For several years, Rakime has worked in a variety of maternity settings in a large teaching Hospital. She completed her PhD in 2012 which focused on women's experiences of severe postpartum haemorrhage and emergency hysterectomy. Rakime has successfully led a number of research projects on birth trauma and the psychosocial impact on mothers, fathers and midwives. Rakime also has a keen interest in clinical learning for nursing and midwifery students and is leading a project on clinical placement preparedness for nursing and midwifery students.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Want to feature in season 2?
