If not, you will have seen his work if you have ever looked for references of atmospheric neon at night on the streets of Tokyo. But, more than that, Liam captures atmosphere almost like a time capsule. You can palpably feel the mood of the scenes in the photos and the way they are colour graded are something you wish would be in a video game.&nbsp;</p><p>In fact, he is a published author with Kickstarter's best-selling book of all time, called&nbsp;<a href=\"https://shop.tate.org.uk/tokyoo/25606.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>TO:KY:OO</em></a><em>.</em> The book includes words&nbsp;and contributions from Metal Gear Solid's Hideo Kojima and Bladerunner concept artist Syd Mead. His second published book,&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/050002555X?tag=liamwong0f-21\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>After Dark</em></a>, was also a huge success.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>But have you ever wondered about the background of the award-winning photographer? Liam, originally from Scotland, actually started his journey in games! Working in UI all the way up to Creative Director at Ubisoft Montreal, and then Visual Director at the new Japanese studio <a href=\"https://www.unseen-tokyo.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Unseen</a> founded by <a href=\"https://twitter.com/nakamura193?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Ikumi Nakamura.</em></a>&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>In this episode we jump into talking about his career, moving countries, his inspirations and hearing some amazing advice. It’s really rare to find someone who is incredibly humble and talented at this level, so to hear this kind of insight is invaluable.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Currently looking for a Sponsor!</strong></p><p><a href=\"https://ko-fi.com/pixelwhatyoupreach\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">If you enjoyed the Podcast &amp; would like to support me</a> :)</p><p><a href=\"https://ko-fi.com/pixelwhatyoupreach\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">ko-fi.com/pixelwhatyoupreach</a></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Please rate &amp; Subscribe it really helps! </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Follow</u></strong></p><p><a href=\"https://pixelwhatyoupreach.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Official Website</a></p><p><a href=\"https://twitter.com/victoria_pixel\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter</a></p><p><a href=\"https://bsky.app/profile/pixelwhatyoupreach.bsky.social\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">BluSky</a></p><p><br></p><h4><strong><u>Credits</u></strong></h4><p>Audio Production: <a href=\"https://www.theboyinthecorner.co.uk/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Boy In The Corner</a></p><p><strong>Logo: </strong><a href=\"https://stormthecastle.co/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Storm the Castle</a></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>All opinions and views are the content creators own and not the views of their employer. </em></strong></p>","author_name":"Victoria Goldsmith"}
