In the UK, the charity Mind acknowledges that <a href=\"https://www.mind.org.uk/news-campaigns/news/mind-responds-to-uk-government-nhs-elective-recovery-plan/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">1.6M people</a> are on the waiting list for mental health treatment with the NHS and it is estimated that 8M can't get on the list because they're not deemed unwell enough. </p><p><br></p><p>This podcast is hosted by Alex, a student trainee psychotherapist, who was part of the leadership team of TEDxBrighton for 6 years. </p><p>She talks with leading professionals across a range of skills to help us understand more about how to navigate our own mental health and the wellbeing of others. </p><p><br></p><p>Specifically to therapy, she aims to unpick what can often feel like a daunting exercise to understand what different types of therapy are, what to expect and how to know if it's working. </p><p><br></p><p>This is for people who are curious about their own mental health or may want to have better tools to understand people's mental wellbeing around them. </p><p><br></p>","author_name":"Alex Manly"}
