We also discuss ways to reduce the amount of \"child-centered\" activities you do (Laura has an issue with that phrasing) in favor of including children in the everyday activities and routines of the family. This chapter is a must-read for any parents who are exhausted from driving kids to lessons and activities, preparing special meals, and constantly cleaning up after everyone. We can raise flexible, cooperative kids by valuing their natural inclination towards helpfulness and including them in all family activities. In TEAM 1, we discuss the \"T\" in Team Parenting: Togetherness. As a bonus, we start this episode with a discussion of continuing education in speech-language pathology. We take a look at ASHA CEUs versus other types of continuing education and discuss how we like to fulfill the requirements for ASHA and our state licenses.

Head to patreon.com/theslpbookclub/membership to join our new interactive online book club community!
