One of the biggest challenges women in construction encounter is unconscious bias in all its manifestations. These biases can make women judge more on their gender than their credentials and expertise or pass over for leadership positions. Originally rooted in male supremacy, the building industry often supports these biases, so people have to be conscious of and oppose what they believe.
