Hannah Wilkinson or “Wilky” as she is known by her team mates is one of the star players of the New Zealand Footballs Ferns, a team she has played in since she was a teenager. 13 years ago.
She has played over 100 games, been to three Olympics, played in 3 (soon to be 4) FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments and that’s just the tip of her football iceberg.
I would like to think this episode is a good glimpse into the mind of one of New Zealand’s greatest footballers of all time. And hopefully you’ll come away with a better idea of who Hannah the person is on and off the pitch.
