Through a yearly gala and other convenings, THE NAT is driving new conversations around nature, finance and cultural influence. Before founding THE NAT, Gail spent almost a decade as Marketing Director at the BBC, co-founded Project Everyone with Richard Curtis to lead the global campaign for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and also co-founded of Goals House, the global convening platform that brings together leaders from business, politics and civil society during Davos, COP and the United Nations General Assembly.

We spoke about the nature finance gap and how to convince investors to direct more funds towards the protection and restoration of nature. Gail believes this transformation needs to be rooted in culture, and so we spoke about how we’re not going to get change happening at the speed and scale we need without culture. How artists can amplify this important message, bring people together, and also give us the hope and joy we need to carry on what we’re doing. This episode is a bit of a love letter to the arts and a reminder that change is happening!

Hope you will enjoy listening - thanks so much for tuning in!

------------------

Want to dive deeper?

THE NAT – https://www.thenat.com/

Follow THE NAT on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/thenat____

Follow Gail on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/gail__gallie/

Let’s keep in touch?

Subscribe to my newsletter – https://whaleswolves.substack.com/subscribe

Why We Care on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/whywecarepodcast/

Tiphaine on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/tiphainemarie_/

------------------

If you enjoyed the episode and want to help the podcast, I would be super grateful if you could leave a little review or share it with a friend who might like it.
