We put Nick through his debut questions, and there are some very interesting choices in there! We also give him the chance to tell us all about his podcast, what it’s about and how he came up with the idea.

We jump straight into the nitty gritty and, rather than just talking about the narrow 1-0 win over ‘The Posh’, we ask the big question… are we on for promotion? Waggie is, as always, firmly aboard the Positivity Train, Nick is trying to convince himself to jump on, and surprisingly, Russ has already got an early ticket! We also discuss whether Jim McNulty has a Plan B, is he still working it out, or whether we just stick with McNulty Ball and let everyone else worry about how to stop us!

We have a Player Watch, with a round-up of Allen getting himself a decent goal for Barrow, Andresson scoring for Iceland U21s and Whatmuff picking up an assist for England U20s. We also tip our hats to County Women, who produced a spectacular fourth goal in a nine-goal thriller against Derby Women.

County are opening a new store in Merseyway, right at the front of the A6 bus stops. We discuss what this says about the club’s progression and the potential to generate more revenue while also getting the County name and brand in front of plenty of passing fans and shoppers.

Sam Byrne had a great chat with Jonathan Smith, Head of Recruitment, before the Posh game and subsequently released the conversation on X. We have a good discussion around that and some very interesting points raised in the article. We won’t spoil it for you, though — go and have a read for yourselves: https://x.com/_SByrne/status/2104225625611419897?s=20

Finally, we have another go at Rival, the football app that gives us a random historic game involving County. This time it’s Posh away in 2006. Not exactly the best memory for this one, although Russ is on hand with some clues to try and help us along. Can you remember the score, the line-up and the goalscorers?

And finally, some massive news…

The Scarf Bergara Wore has made the FINAL of the 2026 Football Content Awards! 🏆

We’ve been shortlisted for Best Club Content Creator – Football League, and you have supported us all the way to the final — now we need one last favour.

Please vote for TSBW here: https://footballcontentawards.com/voting/

Every vote means the world to us, so if you’ve enjoyed listening to the podcast, please take a couple of minutes and get your vote in! 💙

TSBW — NWFA Award-Winning Podcast

For County Fans, By County Fans. 🔵
","author_name":"The Scarf Bergara Wore"}
