Paul Burns, the president and CEO of the Canadian Gaming Association, was one of two special guests on the latest Gaming News Canada Show podcast presented by Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. Burns answered our questions on CGA’s symposium and annual general meeting last week in Toronto, which brought together almost 90 industry types to discuss player health and wellbeing, and advertising standards while receiving a presentation from Ipsos Research into Ontario’s regulated sports betting and igaming industry. The association’s head honcho also gave his reaction to legal concerns expressed by the interim Auditor General of Ontario about the province’s competitive market.
Quebec Online Gaming Coalition spokesperson Nathalie Bergeron joined the show to talk about the results of the latest survey commissioned by the coalition on the appetite for a regulated gambling industry in La Belle Province.
