In this episode Marcus is joined by writer and director, Anthony Sutcliffe.
Marcus first met Anthony at Worcester Film Festival in 2024 where his short film \"Cope\" was screened and receiving a fantastic reaction. The film's lead actor Nick Hendrix went on to win the Best Performance award for his role in the short.
\"Cope\" is a drama about a man who only has 6 weeks to live. During the film we follow his struggle and his shifting mindset throughout this period.
\"Cope\" was released on YouTube in January of 2025 on and at the time of this episode being released, has attracted over 1.3 million views.
This was a film Marcus was really intrigued to discuss, both off the back of the experience at Worcester and the film's later success online.
Marcus and Anthony also discuss Anthony's 20 year career in the TV industry, working in the camera department on iconic British TV shows such as Casualty and Midsummer Murders.
Anthony shares how he got into the world of TV and film, starting out at a post-production house in Bristol and how his career has developed and evolved over the years.
Anthony has released a selection of other short films on YouTube over the years and the pair chat about Anthony's writing and directing style and how he brings his short films together.
