Today’s episode is based off of an article Julia wrote about Menstruation for environmentalists and Caring for the Earth while menstruating. Together we explore the products that we use that not only ease with cramps and look puuuurdy, but also are great for the environment too: we love a triple whammy! So listen up if you want to learn how to have less impact on the planet when you’re on your period.

There are some incredible resources that I have wormholed my way through thanks to Julia citing them in her article so I have linked these in the resources below if you want to explore more for yourself. There is the Chem Fatale report (which we deep dive into next episode of Free Flow) you can read here and an interesting article with mind blowing truth bombs here. There is also some interesting pieces regarding Nanosilver here and here.

Last point I would like to make is that these are suggestions, and are not to add to invisible labor. As someone with ADHD and PMDD I am all about finding workarounds and doing my best to remove obstacles. I have found reusable products do that, but there have been times in my life when this wouldn't have worked (one lovely example was when I lived in a moldy house that took DAYS to dry things, and it was very stressful for a myriad of reasons). I also find it cheaper to use reusables and I am all for saving some dosh if it means not putting chemicals up my hoo-hah!

Grab my FREE guide: Ready Steady Chart!
