Wouldn't it be nice if our faith can uproot trees and move mountains?
The apostles asked Jesus for greater faith to help them forgive fellow disciples who have repeatedly trespassed. And Jesus responded with an enigmatic reply (see Luke 17:5-10), that a faith the size of mustard seed can uproot tree and plant it in the sea, followed by the parable of the unworthy servant. Rev Soh, at the Divine Service today, explained how even faith the size of a mustard seed can produce great works because it's power is ultimately anchored on our limitless God. Serve the Lord and stand against sin with the measure of faith we are given, however limited it may seem, for it is not our works but God's glory and grace that triumph!
