It is a lifelong journey of following Jesus Christ, becoming more like Him, and helping others do the same. In Luke 6, Jesus stands on a level place surrounded by three distinct groups: His closest followers, a larger circle of committed disciples, and curious onlookers from distant regions. People traveled days on foot, through hardship and uncertainty, simply because the stories of His power gave them hope that outweighed every obstacle. That kind of hunger is at the heart of what it means to follow Jesus. Salvation is a free gift, but faithfully following Christ day after day takes real effort and real desire. The crowd in Luke 6 did not wait for perfect conditions. They moved toward Jesus with what they had, because they wanted what only He could give. The question worth asking yourself is whether your daily effort matches the goal you say you have.</p>","author_name":"Calvary Church"}
