As the city of Flint, Michigan works to restore itself to its former glory, its residents look to improve their living conditions within it. It’s a great step up for couple Kim and Amber Perryman who are able to move their family from the rougher side of town to more spacious digs in a much nicer neighborhood. By their own admission, the Perrymans are a rambunctious lot, which quickly lands them on the wrong side of their new neighbors directly across the street- The Bretts. Minor irritants escalate to major ones, and the two families are increasingly at each other’s throats until dueling Memorial Day parties becomes the last straw and a horrific street battle turns fatal.
