When a friendly retired couple moves in next door to a family with young children, the two households are initially united by a shared love of dogs. But when a strange coincidence leads them to realize they have far more in common, feelings of unease set in and it’s not long before these feelings evolve into all-consuming distrust and agitation. When one of the dogs launches a brutal and near-fatal attack, a drawn-out legal battle ensues and culminates with a vicious attack and two shocking murders.
