What is it really like behind the scenes at one of America's most haunted former asylums? In this gripping witness interview, we sit down with Julie—a 10-year veteran of the legendary St. Albans Sanatorium who worked as an actor, security guard, and tour guide. Julie opens up about the harrowing history of the building, the heavy atmosphere of the grounds, and the unforgettable paranormal encounters she witnessed firsthand throughout her decade there.
Among her many stories is a spine-chilling Halloween night from her early days volunteering as a scarier in the second-floor hallway. Set on terrifying her daughter's cocky new boyfriend who claimed nothing could scare him, Julie hid in a room, jumped out with a massive scream, and chased the group down the hall. While she successfully frightened the guys, she later noticed a bored-looking middle school girl in a hoodie tagging along behind them. The creepy twist? Her daughter later swore there was no fourth person in their group—just the three of them. Was Julie interacting with a permanent, restless resident of St. Albans?
