We explore her work singing with whales, reclaiming cultural instruments once left silent in museums, and remembering the sacred oceanic highways navigated by her Polynesian ancestors, guided by the stars and whale ancestors.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a conversation about song as medicine, the voice as ceremony, and reclaiming lineage through sound. We ask: what might the whales be singing to us now? What frequencies are we called to remember in order to heal ourselves and our waters?</p><p><br></p><p>Stay on after the episode wraps to hear a special feature from Whaia’s debut album <em>WHAIA &amp; WATER</em> — the first of a twelve-part series known as her Sacred Sonic Sessions.</p><p><br></p><p>Episode Website <a href=\"https://www.lifeworld.earth/episodes-blog/whale-dreaming-ocean-songlines \" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Link</a></p><p><br></p><p>Show Links:</p><ul><li><a href=\"https://whaiacreation.com/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Whaia website</a></li><li><a href=\"https://www.instagram.com/whaia_creation/?hl=en\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram</a></li><li><a href=\"https://whaiacreation.com/product/whaia-water-album-download/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Whaia Water Album Download</a></li><li><a href=\"https://www.awisdomkeepersdelegation.org/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Wisdom Keepers Delegation</a></li><li><a href=\"https://oceanic.global/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Oceanic Global</a></li><li><a href=\"https://www.commonground.org.au/article/songlines\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Australian Songlines</a></li><li><a href=\"https://www.skyatnightmagazine.com/astrophotography/stars/star-clusters/pleiades\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Pleiades</a></li><li><a href=\"https://www.amazon.com/Hidden-Messages-Water-Masaru-Emoto/dp/0743289803\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Masaru Emoto: Messages in Water</a></li></ul><p>Look out for meditations, poems, readings, and other snippets of inspiration in between episodes.</p><p>Music: <a href=\"https://www.audionetwork.com/browse/m/track/electric-ethnicity_157744\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Electric Ethnicity</a> by Igor Dvorkin, Duncan Pittock &amp; Ellie Kidd</p><p>Photo of Whaia: Chanel Baran Photo</p>","author_name":"Alexa Firmenich"}
