Zosia presents herself as the perfect partner and Carol seems happier than ever. But, then Carol is forced to reengage with the reality of her situation during their conversation in their luxurious ski lodge. Zosia isn’t just Zosia. She’s The Joined, and The Joined’s mission hasn’t changed. They want Carol to be one of them, and by the end of Season 1 of Pluribus, it’s revealed that that could happen whether Carol agrees to it or not.

During their conversation, Zosia confirms that they require Carol’s stem cells to complete The Joining. The Joined have discovered that they can get Carol’s stem cells via her frozen eggs. In fact, they’re already working on it, and should the process prove successful, they’ll be able to make Carol Join without her consent. Carol pleads, “If you loved me, you wouldn’t do this,” to which Zosia replies, “Please understand, we have to do this because we love you.”

While on Collider Ladies Night, Wydra took a moment to discuss tackling that scene with Seehorn, and to explain how she approached playing the collision of wanting to make Carol happy, with The Joining being of the utmost importance to them.
","author_name":"Collider"}
