Scott has umpired in nearly 4,000 games from 1986 until his retirement in 2017 including 3 World Series' (1998, 2001, 2004), 3 All-Star Games (1993, 2001, 2011), and 91 Postseason games.

Scott is also publishing a memoir in May titled "The Umpire Is Out: Calling the Game and Living My True Self" with contributions by Rob Neyer & Billy Bean.
