Bear Bachmeier — who ran, threw, and caught a touchdown against the nation's top defense — was named AP National Player of the Week, and the hosts relived the game-winning drive to Walker Lyons, the F-35 flyover, and their three keys to victory before previewing Saturday's trip to Orlando to face UCF.

The show's centerpiece was an emotional visit with BYU Hall of Famer Gifford Nielsen, who reflected on 50 years of BYU football and made the case for Bear as a Heisman contender. Orlando alumni chapter president Christian Rasband previewed the UCF weekend, BYU-Pathway's Cindy Leaming shared her nine-year journey to a degree, and super fan Adam Sheffield joined via Zoom from Idaho. Campus Notes covered Danny Ainge's Hall of Fame induction, a soccer upset of No. 8 Texas Tech, an undefeated volleyball team, and BYU's medical school earning preliminary accreditation, before a wrap-up of NFL Cougars and a tease that BYU could be No. 1 next week.
","author_name":"Dave McCann & Blaine Fowler"}
