First off, we discuss all things Scott and tribute shows with one half of alternative indie-rock group Narwhals, Jacob Cordingley - & - chat to post-rock founding member of Scared Hares (the 1st Frightened Rabbit covers band), Fran Atkinson from Civil Service.
As well as performing under this moniker at the original Manchester Remembers show, Jacob teamed up at the 2nd Manchester Remembers show with Adam Carpenter of Alien Clouds and -my band, and friends of the Podcast- Civil Service, to form a tribute super-group, 'Scared Hares'
Jacob takes us through what he played and why he was so compelled to play.
We then speak with Fran Atkinson who talks us through making the leap from performing as a band on a singer-songwriter heavy bill, to forming a collective with many acts from the first year to perform at the 2nd Manchester Remembers Scott Hutchison show a year later.
The episode is rounded off with a performance by Jacob Cordingley from Narwhals, playing Matt Davies' favourite Scott Hutchison song.
