Harper and Lucien McVampire have been married for six-hundred years. Being vampires and being trans, the world of humans has very rarely been a safe place for them. So they have taken to living alone, in their big, empty house on the hill. And they’re used to being alone. So when a 15-year-old human turns up at their door, having been kicked out of his own home for being trans, the McVampries are thoroughly unprepared, but have no choice but to take him in.
