This episode features Victor Ugoo Njoku, a German-based Nigerian filmmaker and creative. Victor co-directed This Is Love (2025), a groundbreaking documentary spotlighting three same-gender Nigerian couples—a gay couple, a lesbian couple, and a trans and a cisgender woman couple. This Is Love offers an intimate look at Black queer love in all its forms. Our Black Gay Diaspora host Erick talks with Victor about the creative vision and purpose behind the film, and what it means to center Black queer joy and identity on screen. Whether you’re a fan of documentary film, queer storytelling, or Black diasporic culture, this episode is not to be missed.
