LECTURE - Covid Fear Vs Christian Faith
\nThis talk is about fear - and perhaps, for Christians, about ‘fearlessness.’ We begin with some very wise words - from the One who created mankind, and who holds all our lives in his hands. Our Creator and the only Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
\nLuke 12:4-7 4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? 7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
\nFor two years, whole nations have been paralysed with fear - fear of illness and death. But if our lives are in God's hands, what have we to fear? In this podcast, a live address given at Templepatrick Reformed Church, on 18th February 2022, we take a retrospective look at the Covid Pandemic, and the UK Government's response, the tactics used to control the population, and their effects. We suggest that we should not fear an illness, or a government's threats, - they can only hurt us in this life. We should fear the Lord, the One who can cast both body and soul into Hell, - FOREVER.
