After working for years as a telecommunications executive, she co-founded the Born This Way Foundation with her famous daughter, Lady Gaga, where she is currently serving as President.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The Born This Way Foundation seeks to build a kinder, braver world. They support teenagers struggling with their mental health journey by conducting research, funding mental health-focused projects in the classroom, organizing service events, and many other projects. On behalf of the Foundation, Germanotta has done service work to destigmatize the mental health situation in this country, including speaking at the United Nations.
