Hi, we are Emily and Alex - lifelong misfits who finally embraced our need for an extraordinary lifestyle when we became full-time slow travelers. The number one question we get is, \"HOW are you able to do this?\" Short answer - we sold our house and cars and almost everything else we own. But, we found the answer to HOW isn't actually as important as the WHY and the MOTIVATION to do it. In order to do something, you first need to establish a reason for doing it - a CAUSE to do it. If you are motivated enough to do it, you will figure out the HOW. This episode establishes WHY through a brief history of our individual backgrounds, with a focus on the more recent past when we met each other, got married, and unlocked new levels of misfittery.
