Immersing myself in nature balances and refreshes me. It also constantly surprises me with intelligent communication. In this episode, I tell the story of how nature helped me make an important decision. I also tell a cat tale, offer a metaphor, explain how my car saved me, and describe a pleasant interlude with my Portuguese neighbour.
Here is a brief extract: “My intrepid feline friend went out on cat business, as usual, first thing this morning. On her way back from visiting all the neighbours’ gardens (and her cat friends), I noticed her staring at the beautiful old almond tree in the middle of the garden. I thought she was going to sharpen her nails on the bark. But no! In a hop, skip and a jump, she leapt onto the trunk and in a few more acrobatic moves, summitted the tree where she balanced on a skinny branch at the top. I stood there amazed, in total awe of her climbing skills. But I wondered how she would manage the descent…..”
