John is a musician, writer and punk icon who has finally published his Biography 'Punk rock ruined my life (and other stories)', a musical memoir that flits from one amazing musical moment to another with wit and honesty. As a musician he founded The Membranes and later Goldblade, and as a writer he came up with buzzwords that have literally become dictionary staples like 'Brit-Pop' and 'Grunge'.
