If like me you came up through the 90s then Nightmares on wax were an inescapable joy that sat alongside Massive Attack, Portishead, DJ Shadow and other legends of the down beat music scene that provided many a soft landing for every raver. Since 1989 George has been creating Jazz inflected, dub tinged, Hip-Hop influenced mood music with a timeless feeling of craft and soul. This 13 album journey has taken him from humble beginnings to sell out shows at Royal The Albert Hall. Nightmares on wax are celebrating the classic albums 'Inna Space - Outta Sound' & 'Smokers Delight' which have matured to an amazing 20 and 30 years respectively. To mark the anniversary of 'Inna Space - Outta Sound' George has commissioned (friend of the pod) and reggae legend Adrian Sherwood to reconstruct the record in his own inimitable style. It is, of course, yet another triumph and a fitting tribute to the legacy of Nightmares on wax. Still moving forward and seemingly still in love with music - we are delighted to welcome George Evelyn to the podcast.
","author_name":"Deb & Eamon"}
