In the spring of 1897, newspapers in Potter County, Pennsylvania began reporting encounters with a bizarre creature described as tall, hairy, upright and armed with long tusks. But the Nondescript was only one of many strange stories to emerge from these remote forests. From an earlier “Wild Man” near Galeton to unexplained screams, mysterious figures, phantom hitchhikers, strange lights and local monster legends, this episode explores the unsettling folklore surrounding one of Pennsylvania’s wildest and most isolated regions.
