Stephen Frears has directed some of the most memorable movies of the past few decades - from Dangerous Liaisons, The Queen and Philomena to High Fidelity. He has helped break the careers of both Daniel Day Lewis and Jack Black. He's also responsible for a couple of genuine Irish classics - The Van and The Snapper.
